Since April 2018, we have been proud to offer free Revit plugins, driven by our passion to help the AEC industry thrive. Over the years, your support has been incredible, and it has motivated us to keep pushing boundaries.

However, the time has come for a change. To ensure we can continue to develop, improve, and support our tools at the level you deserve, we are transitioning from a fully free model to a freemium business model.

This decision will likely not surprise our attentive users, as we have already announced “premium” tools or features for ProSheets and DiRootsOne, as well as the “public beta” for DiStem. We have always aimed to offer high-quality, accessible tools and we will continue to do so with our free offerings. By introducing premium features and tools, we can create a sustainable path forward – one that allows us to keep delivering value to all our users while also investing more in our team and expanding our product line.

Our vision remains clear, deliver a mix of the best free tools and affordable premium tools, ensuring that every Revit user – regardless of budget – can have access to our full set of innovative solutions.

This change will take effect on October 23rd, 2024. To help ease this transition, all users will have access to a 30-day free trial starting on that date, giving you full access to all our tools and premium features.

We know that this shift will be well-received by many, as they understand this is a natural and necessary step for DiRoots’ growth. However, we also acknowledge it may be challenging for some. Nevertheless, it is crucial for the continued growth of DiRoots and the sustainability of the tools you rely on. Our mission to support the AEC industry remains unchanged, and we are confident that this new model will allow us to serve you even better in the future.

I will share a second announcement on Wednesday, September 25th, where I will provide all the details about this transition. Your continued support means everything to us, and we are committed to ensuring this change is as smooth as possible.
